Tamara Mosher-Kuczer Receives 2026 CILA President's Award
Lighthouse Immigration Law's Tamara Mosher-Kuczer Receives the 2026 CILA President's Award
Lighthouse Immigration Law is proud to announce that our Founder and Senior Immigration Lawyer, Tamara Mosher-Kuczer, has been awarded the 2026 President's Award by the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association (CILA).
BJ Caruso presented the award on October 5, 2026, at the CILA Conference 2026 in Toronto.
The CILA President's Award is presented to an individual who has made a significant and enduring contribution to Canadian immigration law and policy. It honours exceptional service, leadership or advocacy that advances the rights of immigrants and refugees, strengthens the integrity and fairness of the immigration system, or contributes to public understanding of immigration in Canada. The recipient is chosen by CILA's Board (CILA President's Award).
About CILA
CILA is a national, not-for-profit organization focused exclusively on immigration law. It was conceived in 2020 by a group of leading immigration lawyers and incorporated on January 1, 2021 (About CILA).
CILA describes itself as "the voice of Canadian immigration lawyers." Its work rests on four pillars: communications, advocacy, community and resources. Today it represents a community of over 650 members across Canada (cila.co).
Recognition from CILA is recognition from the immigration bar itself — the colleagues who know this practice best.
